Casa Martina - Holiday home near Martina Franca

Casa Martina is a lovingly restored farmhouse with a traditional trullo not far from the baroque town of Martina Franca. It is a perfect retreat if you wish for authentic holidays in the south of Italy. 

With three tastefully furnished bedrooms and four modern bathrooms it offers great comfort for up to six persons. An infant bed is available for very young guests.

Casa Martina once shared the fate of many houses in rural Apulia. Due to emigration and social change, old farmhouses and trulli were abandoned and more often than not were left to fall into disrepair. Fortunately, and what Italy fans from all over the world are sure to welcome: More and more of these abandoned houses have been (and are being) restored and turned into charming holiday accommodations, extraordinary lodgings for a relaxing and wonderful time-out.  

With a lot of love for detail, Casa Martina too has been turned into a real dream of an accommodation, with rustic features which reflect the history of the house. 

There is hardly a comfort, a convenience you will miss when vacationing at Casa Martina. Furnishing includes, amongst others: induction cooktop, oven, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee machine, toaster, fridge-freezer, air conditioning, WiFi, washing machine, hair dryer, fly screens.

You enter the holiday home into an open-plan room with a living-dining area with TV, sofa, fireplace and feel-good atmosphere as well as a well-appointed kitchen area.

From the living area, you have got access of one of the four bathrooms. The other three bathrooms are the en suites of the bedrooms.

Solar panels supply Casa Martina with electricity; they are only one element of the sustainable living concept the holiday home is based on.

Casa Martina is located on a completely fenced property, which is planted with fruit and olive trees and where cozy spots with hammocks invite you to relax. 

Two arches define the furnished terrace in front of the entrance to the house. It is a place where you can take it easy at any time of the day and in (almost) any kind of weather. An outdoor shower and a grill are also at your disposal in the outdoor area. 

Parking is available on the property. 

There are beautiful sandy beaches and bays on the Adriatic coast between Torre Canne and Torre Guaceto, which are about 20 km off. The dunes of the marine reserve are well-known far beyond Apulia. Bathing pleasure is guaranteed, so stop by to enjoy the beach and the sea. 

A place to relax and enjoy

Casa Martina is an ideal starting point for a discovery tour of (some of) the wonderful treasures Apulia has to offer. Stroll through the charming alleys and centro storico of Martina Franca (ca. 5 km off), visit Alberobello and have a closer look at its famous trulli, stop by Ostuni, which due to its whitewashed houses is also known as the "white town". You will hardly feel bored during your stay in Apulia.  

On the road by bike

A good and convenient way of getting around and exploring southern Apulia and Valle d'Itria is of course by car. Nevertheless, nearby attractions/sights can also be reached by bike. In the surrounding area, there's a rather good network of cycle paths, which is being further developed and gradually expanded. 

The nearest restaurants and shops are found at Martina Franca, ca. 5 km from the holiday home. The town has also got a train station.

Brindisi airport is about 65 km, Bari airport about 92 km from Casa Martina.
