La Torretta – Holidays in a trullo with jacuzzi

It is a marvelous rural idyll that awaits you in the midst of the hilly landscape of Valle d’Itria with its thousands of trulli, the former living quarters of the 19th century farmers. 

Surrounded by olive groves and Mediterranean macchia, you will find it easy to relax when vacationing at "La Torretta", a restored trullo with a cupola-shaped roof instead of the typical cone-shaped roof you might expect.  

Gorgeous nature, location near the white towns of Cisternino and Ostuni (each 8 km off) and top furnishing, including dishwasher, WiFi and jacuzzi pool, await you at the holiday home and it might be the perfect accommodation for your next holidays in Apulia. 

The sea with Caribbean blue water and fantastic sandy beaches are only 15 km off.

Friendly owner Serena has turned the once abandoned building into a real paradise. Paying special attention to details in every corner, she succeeded in creating a harmonious and cozy atmosphere without neglecting comfort and without destroying the old charm of the house. 

You enter La Torretta into the very well appointed eat-in kitchen (incl. 4-burner gas stove, oven, Nespresso coffee machine, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle), from where you pass through an open doorway into a small, cozy living area, which opens onto the outdoor area with terrace, jacuzzi and dependance. The sofa in the living area can be used as a sleeping facility for a child.   

From the kitchen area, you also access the bathroom (shower/WC/bidet) and the bedroom. The latter is furnished with a double bed and a sofa bed (sleeping facility for another child) and opens onto the terrace. Air purifiers and ventilators are found in all the bedrooms.  

Furnishing of La Torretta also includes washing machine, fireplace and gas heating in the main building, Dyson air purifier and ventilator in the dependance, fly screens and hair dryer. Air conditioning in the main house and in the dependance can be used for an extra charge. A children’s bed and high chair are provided upon request.

The dependance behind the jacuzzi pool accommodates two further guests. The room is furnished with a double bed and air conditioning, has got an en suite bathroom (shower/WC) and a terrace with loungers and hammock.
La Torretta might be a perfect accommodation for two couples who wish to spend their holidays together, but still have a bit of privacy.

Serena always seems to come up with good ideas, such as turning the ancient palmento, the basin where the grapes used to be crushed, into a 2.5 x 2.5 m whirlpool.

The terrace with garden furniture and sun loungers to make yourself comfortable on is shaded by olive trees and bamboo. A grill is also at your disposal in the outdoor area. 

Nothing but fields and magnificently lush green olive groves and across the country lane La Casa del Pastore, another holiday home of owner Serena – that's how you could describe the nearer surroundings of holiday home La Torretta. 

The nearest shops and restaurants are found at Casalini, a village 3 km off. At Locanda del Ristoro, for example, they serve typically local dishes for reasonable prices. 

The sea with many sandy beaches, both free and with service (lidi), is ca. 15 km off.

Not far from La Toretta (ca. 8 km) lie the towns of Cisternino and Ostuni, where you can go for strolls within white walls and through ancient alleys.
